The Christian Book and Gift Store has been in the Kittanning landscape for a good many years.

During the spring of 2006, Pastor Donald Toy was asked by the owners to take over the business. Others had offered to buy the business but were not necessarily planning to keep the business in Kittanning. Believing that Kittanning and Armstrong County need a store and ministry such as this for local Christians, they searched for someone who would make an earnest effort to see that Christian literature was available to local residents.

Pastor Toy purchased the business during the summer of 2006 and moved it to its present location on Market Street. 

To make the business viable, he has included his family in clerking the store. Many of the employees also serve in ministry in area local churches. This provides instant expertise to customers who come in with special reading needs and who wish supplies for their churches.

The store is also adding new services for the area churches. It is now able to build and host websites; publish church directories; do photography; print and publish posters, fliers, and small books. These photo and graphic services are available to the religious community and the public in general.
